Color Development for Your Underwear Range
Intivex Underwear supports color selection for brands, importers and wholesalers developing OEM and private-label underwear. Color requirements can be reviewed for men’s boxer briefs, boxers and trunks, women’s panties, boyshorts and high-waist briefs, plus selected seamless styles.
Projects may use available material colors or require a specified shade, subject to sourcing and order quantity. We review the body fabric, waistband, elastic and other visible components together so the proposed color combination can be assessed before sampling and quotation.
Provide a Clear Color Reference
A physical fabric swatch or reference garment is useful for communicating the intended shade. Buyers can also provide an identified color reference, supported by a physical sample where available. Screen images help explain the direction, but they should not be the sole basis for final approval.
Please specify which components require matching and which should contrast. For example, a navy garment may need a matching waistband, a cream waistband or contrasting stitching. These choices should be recorded separately rather than described simply as “navy underwear.”
For repeat orders, identify the previously approved reference so the new material batch can be reviewed against the same target.
Review Color Across Different Materials
The same target shade can appear different on cotton, modal, synthetic blends and elastic. Surface texture, material construction and finish also affect the visual result. A color reference therefore needs to be reviewed on the actual material proposed for the order.
Confirm your fabric and material options before finalizing color approval. A later fabric substitution may require another color review.
Waistbands and elastic can have different surfaces from the body fabric. Through waistband and elastic customization, we review the intended coordination rather than assume every component will look identical.
Approve Samples and Define Quality Requirements
Color approval should identify the accepted material sample and its application to the garment. Where matching components are involved, review them together under consistent lighting. Finished samples also help buyers assess contrast between the body fabric, waistband, stitching and branding.
Visual shade approval does not establish colorfastness. If washing, rubbing or other colorfastness testing is required, specify the test requirements before material purchasing. Third-party testing can be arranged according to the order, with scope, cost and timing confirmed separately.
During fabric and trim preparation, incoming colors are checked against the approved requirements. Material differences requiring a decision should be resolved before production proceeds.
Plan Color MOQ, Timing and Packing
Typical garment MOQ is around 500–1,000 pieces per style/color. Specified material shades, custom waistbands and other components may introduce separate sourcing minimums. Available colors can offer a different ordering route, but suitability and quantities need confirmation.
Sampling usually takes about 7–12 days, depending on material availability and development requirements. Additional color sourcing or sample revisions may affect timing. Bulk production usually takes about 30–45 days after sample and order confirmation, subject to material readiness and order details.
For multi-color orders, confirm quantities by style, color and size, together with packaging names, SKU references and assortment instructions. Send your color references, material requirements and estimated quantities so we can review sourcing, sampling and quotation.
